New Life Choir

The Worship Choir is a large group of lead worshipers whose primary role is to worship God through song, exalt Christ by living a lifestyle honoring of God, and inspire others to do the same.  We do not function to perform.  Rather, we seek to lead others into God's manifest presence. This is an incredible, excited group of believers that is dedicated to leading our church in worship through the medium of song.

You can learn about being a part of the New Life Worship Choir by contacting us by calling New Life at 805-489-3254 and asking for Debbie Krovious (extension 300) or via email to dkrovious@newlifepismo.com. You may download our application forms at the bottom of this page.

CHOIR FAQ’s:

What are rehearsal times?
Thursday nights from 6:30-8:30 in Room 11 (behind the Worship Center).

How often does the choir “perform”/sing?
When in season, the choir leads in the main campus services approximately once every 3-4 weeks with one major event planned per season (e.g., Easter/Christmas).

What is the commitment involved?
We are a seasonal choir so we ask for you to commit to the season at hand. One 90 minute rehearsal per week, one weekend of leading in the Worship Center a month, and possibly one major weekend or event depending on the season.

How often do you have open enrollment?
We have interviews at the beginning of every season. Typically January, May, and/or August. Contact the Worship Arts Office for more details if you’re interested.

Is childcare provided for rehearsals?
Yes. Our childecare staff is pre-screened by Live-Scan and we adhere to all state codes.
