We want to help you along in your discipleship journey, and so below you will find some great resources with Bible studies, sermons, devotionals and more.
We are all being formed by something…and let’s be honest, an hour or two on Sundays just isn’t enough time to combat all the subversive ways that we are being shaped into the image of the things of this world. For that reason, we’ve curated and cultivated some tools to help you grow beyond the couple hours you are on campus (or watching online) each week. It’s our prayer that you would used these tools to be shaped more and more into the likeness of Christ!
40 days of prayer • Lent at New Life
Lent marks the solemn season of 40 days leading up to Easter. During Lent we join with believers down throughout the ages in intentionally focusing on repentance and our deep need for Jesus and his resurrecting power. As part of our collective Rule of Life, as a church, we will be centering our attention on the spiritual practice of PRAYER.
Over the next 40 days we are believing by faith that God is going to do a miraculous work in each of our hearts as we strip away the distractions of this world and lean into the holy presence of God. We are trusting that the God of revival will set our community on fire as we lead in repentance and earnestly seek him. We will be using the Lord’s prayer as our guide, since Jesus himself used it as a template for how to pray. Each week will be focused on a different phrase from this prayer.
Stone to Flesh • Memorize Ezekiel together
Join us in committing this verse to memory during this series! To help you, we’ve created some lock screens you can download and save to the background of your phone. One has the whole verse and the other has just the first letter of each word to help you memorize God’s truth. We also have memorization cards available on Sundays.
I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.
Ezekiel 36:26
On an iPhone: press your finger over the image for a couple seconds until a window pops up. Click “save to photos”. Open your photos app, click on the lock screen image and then click the little “share” icon (square with an arrow). Click “use as wallpaper”. You may need to use two fingers to pinch and move it around depending on your phone model. When it looks good, click “done” then “set as wallpaper pair”
